Post by MaiaPost by Darin JohnsonPost by MaiaOK, so I can put max 4 mods on a weapon. But does this mean 4 actual
mods or 4 _types_ of mods and I can actually stack "Accuracy" or
whatever ad infinitum?
I never realized there was a limit... I was pretty sure I had more
than 4 mods on a single weapon. In fact, I'm positive I had more than
4 mods. Ie, one scope, one silencer, one increased clip size, more
than one accuracy mod, and at least one range mod.
Hm... I know I heard/read about the 4 mods limit somewhere (I loath
the cheapo pdf-file manuals!) and that Deus Ex 2 weapons only can have
2 and that it was one of the examples of its dumbing down.
I believe the only mod limit is the number times the same mod type can
be applied to the same weapon. In other words, there is a limit to
the number of "Increased Range" mods you can apply to, say, a pistol.
After a certain number of those "Increased Range" mods, you just can't
increase that "stat" anymore, and this goes for the other "stats" like
Accuracy, Recoil, etc, too.
However, I'm fairly certain the limit is more than four for each mod
type. For all practical purposes, there really ISN'T a limit, as by
the time you can't apply any more of a certain type of mod to a
particular weapon, that weapon more than likely really doesn't need it
anymore. And no matter how many other mods you've put on a weapon,
you can ALWAYS put on a Scope and Laser mod IF that weapon supports
those mods.
