Morrowwind - Tribunal - Appelles Matius - where is he ???

Can anybody help. I have slept and reported my assination attempt.
I have been directed to Ebonheart to see Apelles Matius.

I have spent hours trying to find him. Can anybody tell me
exactly where to find him. ?

Entering Ebonheart from the Vivec side, go over the bridge, take a right by
the dragon statue up towards the inn. Go past the inn and take a right
again. Matius should be patrolling around on the the wall in front of you.
He wears distinctive armour IIRC.

Or teleport to the shrine there in Ebonheart (divine intervention), and
walk through the main council building towards the docks (N, iirc) ..
when you get to the end of the elevated wall/bridge section, you'll
probably bump into the dude .. I jumped on his head one time. 8>.

Still havent found him :)

I teleported as suggested - turn east and walked straight thru
council chamber and out of the east door - came to
the end of a walkway and bumped into an officer dude by
the name of Jonus Maximus. I am getting to the point
where I am sure I have checked every dude in the place :)

Many thanks for your reply but I still cant find him.

I have found the inn and am now facing it. The only way
is now left then right towards the well. What now ?
I have checked everybody at ground level and no joy.

The guards tell me he is up in the battlements - but where ?

You can't miss him (unless you haven't installed Tribunal, that is...).

I followed your instructions and found Jomas Maximus again :)

I am starting to wonder if I have an installation problem or
am missing a patch. I must have installed Tribunal to have
got the quest to see Appeles Matius.

You should also call up the console and type ra once, which resets all npcs
to their starting positions. Maybe your Appeles Matius got himself stuck in
a wall or something.

Ahhhh, I forgot about the 'ra' command. You'll notice in Balmora that a lot
of NPCs who hang out by the river often fall in, and you use 'ra' to sort
them out.

You don't need to restart, everything will be fine.

It's usually safe to carry on. This is one of the bugs with MW - the odd
NPC will sometimes fall through the floor and vanish to hell. 'RA' is
OK, but there are other vital console commands too in case an NPC has
actually died and needs replacing.

Yes, walk past the inn then right toward the well, there's some stairs
leading up onto the battlements, where he should be standing in posh armour.
If he isn't, then you've found a bug. You may be able to make a simple mod
to add (another) him into the world.
